Per Diem Veterinarian

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team in Los Angeles. As a Per Diem Veterinarian, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to animals in underserved communities, working alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share your passion for animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas of Los Angeles, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day.
- Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates.
- Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications.
- Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients by using low-stress handling techniques.
- Triage and refer cases that do not fall within CM's parameters of care as appropriate.
- Perform humane euthanasia in accordance with ASPCA policy and protocols.
- Current California State Veterinary License.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent Veterinarian License.
- Experience in general small animal practice or shelter medicine required.
- Experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter required.
