Adjunct Faculty in Philosophy

We are seeking qualified temporary part-time faculty members to teach lower division classes in Philosophy at the University of New Mexico Los Alamos campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching online and/or face-to-face courses at the 1000 or 2000 level.
Responsibilities- Teach Philosophy courses at the 1000 or 2000 level
- Develop and implement course materials and assessments
- Meet with students during assigned times
- Grade assignments and report grades
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Master's degree in Philosophy or a related field, or a Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Philosophy. Preferred qualifications include successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution, online teaching experience, and a terminal degree in Philosophy.
What We OfferAdjunct faculty at UNM Los Alamos are compensated on the basis of their credentials and credit hour course loads. The current rate per credit hour is $912.00 for a Master's degree and $975.00 for a PhD.
