Key Responsibilities- Provide direct care to patients, including evaluation, formulation of diagnoses, and treatment of psychiatric and mental health care needs.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and IHSC policies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical standards, guidelines, and best practices in psychiatry.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from a school in the United States or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school.
- Completion of four years of medical specialty training leading to board eligibility in psychiatry.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a licensed practicing psychiatrist.
- Permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine independently in the state where the duty station is located.
- Board Certification eligible by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN).
- Maintains BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through the American Heart Association.
