Faculty Group Practice Patient Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Assistant to join our Faculty Group Practice team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and service.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Greet patients, complete check-in and check-out processes, answer phones, and schedule appointments.
- Clinical Support: Assist with patient intake, vital sign collection, lab specimen collection, and preparation of exam rooms.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Quality and Safety: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, maintain accurate records, and adhere to infection control standards.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
- Skills: Working knowledge of English, computer skills, and ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently.
- Certification: Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy preferred.
