Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Faculty Group Practice team. The successful candidate will assist the RN in the care of patients and families, completing assigned patient care tasks in accordance with the NYS LPN scope of practice and NYULH policy.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in patient-centered quality and performance improvement programs consistent with service and departmental goals.
- Acquire and maintain current LPN knowledge and competence to fulfill responsibilities.
- Support the missions, philosophy, standards, goals, and objectives of NYULH.
- Collect patient healthcare data systematically and on an ongoing basis, using appropriate assessment techniques and instruments.
- Enforce adherence to NYULH and FGP policies and procedures, including HIPAA, Compliance, Human Resources, etc.
- Participate in coordination of unit activities to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Engage in self-assessment and participate in activities to promote own professional growth and development.
- Obtain patient vital signs, weights, EKGs as needed, and perform blood collection/phlebotomy as needed.
- Administer medications, including injections, in accordance with NYULMC clinical guidelines and NYS Scope of Practice.
- Assist with maintaining patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas, and ensure chart availability with relevant lab work and test reports for physician review.
- Maintain awareness of current patient-centered evidence-based practices and use knowledge of applicable research data in provision of patient care.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary team and promote collegial relationships.
- Assist patients and communicate with licensed providers to obtain prescription renewals as needed.
- Perform patient-related functions as directed by the Licensed Provider and/or Registered Nurse (RN), and document properly.
- Graduate of LPN program with current NYS OP LPN licensure and registration.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment that pursues a positive patient care experience.
- Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual, and aural acuity to perform responsibilities needed.
- BLS certification preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $65,858.29 - $65,858.29 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
