Responsibilities

We are seeking a committed Systems Application Administrator II with a strong interest in security technology and system management. In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and upkeep of enterprise applications to guarantee optimal performance and security. Your duties will include system administration, compliance with security policies, providing extensive user support, integrating new systems, and suggesting enhancements. Additionally, you will maintain comprehensive documentation, lead projects, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and manage associated risks. Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to fulfilling business needs and keeping stakeholders informed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the System Administrator for various alarm and access control systems, including Lenel and Honeywell EBI security systems.
  • Manage user access to ensure the security and integrity of all systems.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues related to alarm and access control systems. Perform IT administration tasks for operating systems, security systems, software systems, and hardware components.
  • Monitor system performance and security to identify and address potential issues. Assist with patching efforts and remediate cyber vulnerabilities within server systems according to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Conduct daily operations using management tools to ensure all systems are current.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including configurations, processes, and user guides.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Assist in drafting security plans and conducting certification and accreditation tests to validate security policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and experience with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Lenel and Honeywell EBI systems is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of system updates, user access management, and technical support is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective support and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when required.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and relevant regulations.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Lenel Certified Professional or Honeywell Certifications, are advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of programming languages. Familiarity with SQL and Lenel OnGuardScript is a plus. Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage an increasing number of tasks and support multiple software applications or database platforms.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suites, including Excel and similar programs.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Work schedule for this position will be 4/10's, Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
  • Pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.

Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate's education and experience, and internal equity.
