**Job Summary:** As a Bakery Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely production of bakery supplies and products. Reporting directly to the Bakery Department Manager, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks, including receiving and processing bakery supplies, packaging and displaying products, and providing exceptional customer service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Previous experience working in a bakery environment is essential for success in this role.
2. You will be responsible for performing bakery operations, practices, and procedures within a retail grocery-bakery environment, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
3. As a self-directed and results-oriented individual, you will be expected to project a positive business image and lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
4. Good attention to detail and follow-through skills are crucial in this role, as you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of bakery operations.
5. Providing excellent customer service is a key aspect of this role, and you will be expected to work effectively with customers to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.
6. You will be responsible for meeting department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality, and safety requirements, working efficiently with weights, measures, scales, and tally unit product retail prices.
7. Basic computer entries will be required, and you will be expected to operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
8. This role requires flexibility, including working varied shift schedules, overtime, and weekends as needed.
9. You will be working in a physical environment with continuous exposure to cooler temperatures and water, and will be required to meet physical demands of the role.
10. Meeting and maintaining job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements, and wearing safety attire are essential aspects of this role.
