About Nema Health

Nema Health is a pioneering virtual clinic dedicated to providing comprehensive care for individuals affected by PTSD and trauma. Our mission is to support trauma survivors throughout their healing journey, beginning with the innovative remote delivery of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). We are in search of a dedicated and mission-oriented clinician to join our distinguished team of trauma specialists, delivering exceptional care to those in need. This position reports directly to our Clinical Director.

Role Responsibilities
Clinical Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive and accurate patient diagnostic evaluations.
  • Provide treatment for PTSD and related conditions utilizing evidence-based psychotherapies.
  • Manage a caseload of 3-5 patients weekly for the duration of their treatment (approximately 4 weeks) within our intensive care model; therapists are expected to dedicate 75% of their time to direct patient care.
  • Effectively assess patients for admission or provide suitable referrals based on their clinical needs and available resources.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team to assist in care coordination and logistics (e.g., referring patients or coordinating with other care providers as necessary).
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation records.

Operational Contributions

  • Provide insights on recruitment, onboarding, and the overall experience of the clinical team.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Operations team and Nema leadership to ensure effective communication and clinical processes.
  • Support the Clinical Director in external communications to enhance provider referrals.

Qualifications
Essential

  • Active licensure in California; willing to obtain cross-licensure in other states with Nema's support.
  • PhD with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience OR independently licensed master-level clinician.
  • Exceptional clinical skills, including diagnostic ability and proficiency in CPT delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, dependable, and capable of working autonomously on core responsibilities.
  • Ability to work within PST hours.

Preferred

  • CPT-Trained.
  • Training in DBT.
  • Experience with other trauma-focused modalities such as PE or EMDR.
  • Clinical supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience in an early-stage company.
