Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse I/II to join our Public Health team in Calaveras County. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing services to clients in outpatient settings, promoting health and well-being in our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medication management services to clients with mental or emotional disorders
  • Conduct case management services to selected clientele
  • Order and stock clinic supplies and medications
  • Administer psychotropic medications and monitor side effects
  • Coordinate client care with healthcare providers
  • Prepare required program reports
  • Provide public health information to the general public
  • Coordinate clinic programs with other health department programs
  • Administer immunizations to adults and children
  • Perform clinical diagnostic procedures for detection of selected conditions
  • Obtain blood and other specimens; perform laboratory tests as required
  • Monitor and report disease as required by health department
  • Provide patient counseling and education related to clinical care needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation on services provided
  • May provide home visit assessments in coordination with the PHN II or the Director of Nursing
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California
  • California driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a public health or mental health outpatient setting
