POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kitchen Sanitation Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen utensils and cookware. This position is essential for maintaining a hygienic and safe working environment, adhering to all relevant state, local, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial. This role requires punctuality and dependable participation in meetings and presentations.
- Sanitizes all surfaces in the work area, including cooler floors and any items that may come into contact with food.
- Responsible for the removal of trash.
- Reports all injuries promptly with accurate documentation.
- Completes assigned tasks across various project areas.
- Assists in maintaining records for the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and other necessary documentation.
- Supports cooks with meal preparation and service as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness in the dishwashing area.
- Polishes stainless-steel equipment in the dishwashing section.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- None required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role is primarily performed in a kitchen setting, with exposure to freezers, tight spaces, wet conditions, and strong food-related odors. The employee may encounter loud noises during the workday.
TRAVEL REQUIRED:
No travel is necessary for this position.
This role supports operational hours at the facilities and may require flexibility in response to community events.
