Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A background in a related healthcare field, such as Cardiopulmonary or Ultrasound, is preferred.
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience in the Ultrasound field is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
- Registration as an Ultrasound technician is preferred; licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of North Carolina is also desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of VCR functions, mathematics, and the anatomy and physiology of the heart and related systems.
- A commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care across developmental stages.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
- On-call responsibilities as outlined by management, with potential for high-stress situations.
Physical Demands:
- Responsibilities include walking, standing, and assisting patients, as well as maneuvering diagnostic equipment throughout the facility.
