Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Building Automation Engineer (BAS/BMS), you will be responsible for:
- Designing, integrating, and supporting network migration for Internet/Ethernet/BACnet/Modbus platforms.
- Producing drawings, sequences of operation, and bills of material for building automation systems for submission to project engineers/teams.
- Developing BMS software databases (programming and graphics) in alignment with engineering documents and project specifications.
- Maintaining an accurate As-Built drawing package and making necessary updates in AutoCAD, Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Conducting field visits as needed to adjust design sequences for optimal system operation and supporting technicians during functional checkout and commissioning activities.
- Engaging in self-study to enhance job-related skills and staying updated on industry trends.
- Fostering a collaborative working relationship with team members, clients, and consulting engineers.
- Providing value engineering recommendations where applicable.
- Collaborating with the consulting engineering community to promote personal and company growth and maintaining design discussions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conducting surveys and generating repair recommendations and reports for clients.
- Staying informed on the latest products, technologies, and applications available in the market.
- Mentoring junior colleagues.
- Developing custom energy reporting, power metering, trending, and billing programs.
- Upholding confidentiality in all aspects of work.
