Job Title: In-Home Caregiver

Village Caregiving - Carbondale, IL is seeking a compassionate and patient In-Home Caregiver to provide essential care and support to individuals in need in the Marion/Carbondale, IL area.

Job Summary:

This part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position involves working independently to assist clients in their homes, providing companionship and assistance with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide in-home care and support to clients, including assistance with personal hygiene/bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care.
  • Observe and report any changes in client's behavior or condition to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Utilize electronic timekeeping software to accurately clock in/out of shifts and submit necessary documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in caregiving is preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Clear background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of personal care, hygiene, and nutrition.
