Join Our Team as a Neurology Veterinary Technician

We are seeking an exceptional Neurology Veterinary Technician to help start our new Neurology service at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Franklin, TN.

About the Role

As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced patient care and client communication. You will work closely with our Neurologist to set up this new service and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Set up constant rate infusions (CRI) and be proficient with medical math calculations, including advanced calculations for CRI.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover anesthetized patients, and set up for MRI and CT procedures.
  • Discharge neuro patients from the hospital, including basic client education, and provide nursing care to neurology patients.
  • Perform call backs and refill medications, and perform physical exams, accurately recording vital signs and patient history to medical records.
  • Understand normal vital parameters and neurologic disorders, and be proficient with IVC placement and venipuncture.
  • Operate all brands of intravenous fluid pumps and troubleshoot errors, and restrain patients during consults and diagnostics.
