Hotel Operations Manager

The Newbury Boston at One Newbury Street, located in the premier shopping and dining neighborhood of Boston's Back Bay, is seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Manager. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our luxury hotel's front desk, uniformed services, and telephone communications.

Our company provides expert guidance through all stages of the property cycle, from planning and development through recapitalization or disposition.
Responsibilities- Sales Management: Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing daily status, analyzing rate variance, and monitoring credit reports.
- Employee Development: Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline all Front Office personnel according to Highgate Hotel standards.
- Cash Handling: Ensure correct and accurate cash handling at the Front Desk.
- Communication: Operate communication devices efficiently and professionally in communicating with hotel staff.
- Logistics: Coordinate all aspects of the ongoing implementation of The Newbury Boston philosophy of service.
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, based on experience, as well as benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Qualifications- 2 years of Front Office experience in a luxury hotel required.
- a 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and 2 or more years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Windows, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing software.
