The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work safely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate a propane sit-down forklift to transport raw materials and finished goods.
  • Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
  • Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare to label.
  • Material handling of all products, including loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Follow manufacturing work orders and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Equipment Used:

  • Forklift, rulers, measuring tape, calipers, calculator, handheld tools, power tools.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.
  • Hours Worked: 40 hours per week typically 1st shift.
  • Days/Week: Monday – Friday.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:

  • Personal protective equipment is regularly required for this position.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated with good sound work ethics.
  • Must demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail.
  • Team player able to follow instructions from management and peers.
  • Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
  • Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.
