The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) modality, performing imaging procedures according to established protocols, and working closely with radiologists and other physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform imaging procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Contribute to the training and education of new staff members and assist in the oversight of MRI students.
- Provide direct patient care and instructions before, during, and after procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to radiology maintenance or supervision.
- Associate's degree from an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited institute (preferred).
- Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology with Advanced MRI Registry (MR) (required, or must be obtained within one year of hire).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, required prior to direct patient care).
- 1 year of experience in an MRI department in a hospital setting (preferred).
