MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at ProMedica Health System. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Job Summary:Under the direction of a radiologist, the MRI Technologist will perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This includes obtaining high-quality scans, which are interpreted by a radiologist in the evaluation of disease or abnormality.
Key Responsibilities:- Obtain high-quality MRI scans, utilizing proper technical factors based on procedure, diagnosis, age, size, weight, and anatomical differences.
- Utilize proper MRI safety parameters and age-appropriate immobilizers to produce high-quality MRI scans.
- Process digital images and critique them for diagnostic quality.
- Assist radiologists and other staff physicians in the performance of diagnostic MRI procedures, as required.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean condition, reporting equipment malfunctions and performing quality control checks as prescribed.
- Demonstrate high-level care, courtesy, and cooperation, educating patients about their procedures and addressing their families' comfort and needs in a dignified and confidential manner.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed by the state where required or certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- CPR certified.
The MRI Technologist will work in a fast-paced medical environment, with possible exposure to radiation and electrical hazards, bloodborne pathogens, or bodily fluids. The individual must be able to move, lift, or carry equipment or materials weighing up to 10 lbs. and assist in moving patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
