Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Supervisor to join our team at Penske Logistics LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership to individual contributors and hourly workforce to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • People: Communicate performance standards, interview hourly associates, monitor attendance and productivity, and provide counseling and/or recognition as needed.
  • Operations: Supervise logistics operations, including customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, and proper documentation and procedure control.
  • Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability, and closely manage associates' working hours and activities.
  • Safety: Ensure day-to-day management and associate activities are in alignment with the location safety strategy, provide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performance.
  • Growth/Customer Experience: Understand location-specific customer goals and objectives, ensure the customer knows that we are committed to helping them meet their objectives, and determine areas that could benefit from Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Fleet/Assets: Properly plan work assignments to ensure effective use of fleet/warehouse equipment and work with hourly associates to ensure they understand safe and efficient operation of equipment.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years related functional experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
