Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for welding operations using proper safety equipment.
  • Perform air arc, groove welds, flex core, and full pin welding.
  • Use correct procedures to obtain proper weld profile and quality.
  • Understand general knowledge of welding codes and tools.
  • Prepare, clean, and set up equipment for welding operations.
  • Use hand torches and understand basic weld symbols and gauges.
  • Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability and functionality.
  • Coordinate with shop supervisor and other personnel to complete projects efficiently.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to read metric tapes.
  • Adaptability to work priorities, communication skills, and meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to work safety and participating in our safety culture.
  • Commitment to attendance policy and procedures.
  • Quality, accuracy, and thoroughness of work performed.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
Working Conditions
  • Work performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions.
  • Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, and hazardous conditions.
  • Required safety equipment includes safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
