Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at United Natural Foods Inc. in Ridgefield, WA. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletized products to corporate and independent retail stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and unload products utilizing equipment, including a tractor-trailer, ramps, lift gates, pallet jacks, load bars, and other devices which assist delivery
  • Operate vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and complaints from the public
  • Report any accidents immediately to the Transportation Manager/Department
  • Keep vehicles well maintained, safe, and secure, reporting any defects promptly using DCVR form
  • Pick up supplies and back hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork
  • Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate
  • Ensure customer orders arrive in quality condition and correspond precisely to the initial order
Requirements
  • Current Commercial Driver's License, Class A
  • Ability to pass a road test
  • Prefer minimum of one year verified experience operating a tractor trailer
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) law and mandates
  • Understanding of UNFI's safety standards
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of shipping and receiving functions
  • Good time management skills
