Key Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Registered Nutrition Specialist is responsible for delivering medical nutritional therapy to patients. This includes evaluating nutritional needs, creating individualized care plans to enhance or sustain nutritional health, and regularly reviewing patient progress to adjust care strategies as necessary for optimal health outcomes.
The role also involves providing guidance to patients and their families regarding dietary needs, nutritional habits, and therapeutic dietary practices.
Qualifications
Experience:
At least one year of experience as a Registered Dietitian is required.
Experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.
Registered Dietitians with less than one year of experience or those who are eligible for registration and have completed an accredited internship may be considered when staffing allows.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or a related discipline is required.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
