Job Title: Software Engineer

Maxar Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining software applications that underpin our mission-critical operations.

About the Role:

You will work closely with a diverse team of technologists, government leaders, and analysts to deliver solutions that meet the unique challenges of special operations environments. This role requires agility, creativity, and a strong commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement new application features based on customer requirements.
  • Find root cause of and remedy application issues.
  • Support customer and program strategic and tactical planning activities.
  • Work with UI/UX experts to build an intuitive and well-researched application.
  • Understand the technical needs of other developers in the overall application architecture.
Requirements:
  • US Citizen able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance with required Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.
  • 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with software programming languages Java, JavaScript, and scripting languages.
  • Must be willing to work on-site.
Desired Skills:
  • Active/current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience deploying software applications in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with web applications and microservices, and related frameworks like Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, Vert.x.
  • Familiarity with React and/or.
  • Familiarity with geospatial tools and applications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with Docker.
