As a member of our Development Team, you will design, develop, and test mission and safety critical software in all phases of product development and operational deployment.

You will translate customer and system requirements into robust & maintainable software design with a test-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mission and safety critical software
  • Translate customer and system requirements into software design
  • Ensure software quality through thorough requirements analysis, design, and code reviews
  • Interact with Test Engineers to understand/define requirements and generate test procedures
  • Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics
  • Interact with government and commercial space teams by attending technical reviews
  • Investigate and solve production system issues with a focus on customer service
  • Use Agile development tools to manage work and collaborate with your teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other STEM field with software development experience
  • 0-3 years of experience in JavaScript, or programming in industry, internships, or academia
  • Understanding of software development process fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or relational database in general
  • Knowledge of software version control tools
  • Strong, self-motivated desire to learn new programming languages, tools, frameworks, and techniques
  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse, technical team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
