UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled RN Clinical Nurse IV Team Leader to join our Medicine Progressive Care Unit team.
About the Role:This is a 24-bed medicine progressive care unit that provides high-quality patient care to patients with a wide range of medical and pulmonary diagnoses. As a Clinical Nurse IV Team Leader, you will be responsible for promoting an environment that values diversity, open communication, teamwork, and exceptional service. You will ensure that appropriate care and services are available to patients, clients, and families for assigned shifts.
Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in caring for patients with multiple and complex problems.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and promote a conducive environment for learning.
- Develop and implement educational programs to meet identified learning needs of staff, patients, and families.
- Provide feedback to Manager/Supervisor and Director to assist in hiring, promoting, transferring, and terminating staff.
- Establish and promote standards of excellence for areas of responsibility and ensure consistent implementation by staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- Professional certification relevant to the practice area and on the ANCC Magnet approved list within the probationary period of employment.
- Eighteen (18) months of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting, preferably with charge and precepting experience in the area of assignment.
