Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Friendship Community Care. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure quality standards of care for early childhood programs are met, adhering to ITERS/ECERS standards.
  • Create and maintain a safe and engaging environment that promotes children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Assist with implementing plans of care, following FCC procedures for collecting data and creating daily progress notes.
  • Directly supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and staff to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Stay informed about children's records and ensure only authorized individuals access their information.
  • Engage actively with children, promoting their social, emotional, and educational growth.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress notes and DHS/ABC staff/child ratios reports.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including car rider, morning care, and aftercare responsibilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending.
