About the Role

The Pharmacist Consultant position is a remote opportunity that covers the Pennsylvania territory. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality medication management and clinical support to our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, making recommendations for therapy changes as needed.
  • Review drug regimens and clinical indicators of each resident, reporting irregularities to the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and attending physicians.
  • Document all communication with healthcare team members and patients/residents.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations concerning long-term care.
  • Work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical care practices for long-term care residents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate.
  • Current license required, dual license preferred.
  • One-year experience in acute, long-term care, or home health preferred.
  • Consultant or Clinical Pharmacist experience preferred.
  • IV clinical experience preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends or outside of normal business hours when needed.
  • Ability to lift patient charts repetitively.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand state and federal regulations for long-term care.
  • Understanding of formulary management.
