The **Senior Vendor Risk Analyst** will be responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to initiate, define, and strategize assessments of controls related to both new and existing vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments either on-site at vendor facilities or remotely through virtual meetings.
- Evaluate completed questionnaires and accompanying documentation to ensure vendors are effectively implementing necessary information security controls; analyze findings to pinpoint vulnerabilities or instances of non-compliance with established industry standards.
- Generate comprehensive documentation of assessments and perform a detailed threat analysis on identified gaps.
- Clearly communicate any vendor-related information security concerns to stakeholders, ensuring they grasp the associated risks and the necessary actions for remediation.
- Verify evidence provided by vendors prior to the closure of Remediation Plans.
- Escalate vendor-related issues to management as required.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of concepts, best practices, and controls across various domains of information security, including:
- Risk Management
- Access Control
- Cryptography
- Physical Security
- Security Architecture and Design
- Network Security
- Application & Operations Security
- Compliance and Incident Management
- A robust technical background in IT audit and practical knowledge of diverse technologies, including server infrastructure, operating systems, network and web infrastructures, database architecture, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficient understanding of the following risk domains and technologies: Database and Application Security, IDS/IPS Technologies, System/Access Administration, Firewall Technologies, Network Architecture, Security Event Logging & Monitoring, Key Management/Tokenization, Secure Protocols, Physical and Environmental Security, Secure Software Development, Change Management, and Vulnerability Management.
- A self-motivated individual capable of managing and prioritizing tasks effectively through strong time management skills.
- A collaborative team player with proven abilities to influence and motivate colleagues without direct authority, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels, both technical and non-technical, in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the flexibility to conduct assessments within required timelines while managing multiple evaluations concurrently.
Additional Experience/RequirementsPreferred qualifications include experience in conducting information security assessments, providing guidance to business stakeholders, and interpreting and applying information security policies and standards.
Relevant IT Risk Management or Audit certifications (such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, etc.) are highly desirable.
