Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Installation Specialist to join our team at Gallo Mechanical. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for planning, laying out, and supervising ductwork and equipment installation on job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and produce shop tickets for ductwork and equipment installation
  • Supervise and coordinate work with project managers and other team members
  • Forecast labor and manage manpower to meet project deadlines
  • Coordinate job schedules, ordering materials, and managing tools and directing subs
  • Ensure quality control and safety standards are met
  • Prepare and submit reports, including daily job reports, JSAs, time sheets, and RFI's
  • Manage material take-off, equipment ship dates, and change orders
  • Attend job meetings and control job cost, including materials, rental equipment, and man hours
  • Payroll and employee termination responsibilities
  • Serve as a mentor for future field leaders and control manpower, including start and leaving times, and manage productivity of crew
Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of experience as a journeyman with experience in commercial sheet metal ductwork installation; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.

This position requires working in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).

This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
