Sheet Metal Installation Specialist

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the installation of ductwork and equipment on job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial sheet metal ductwork installation and be able to manage a team to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lay out ductwork and equipment installation
  • Supervise and participate in installation activities
  • Manage team to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Coordinate with project manager to ensure scope of work is met
  • Ensure quality control and safety standards are met
  • Manage reports, including daily job reports, JSAs, time sheets, and RFI's
  • Control job cost, including materials, rental equipment, and man hours
  • Payroll and employee termination
  • Serve as a mentor for future field leaders

Requirements:

A High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years as a journeyman with experience in commercial sheet metal ductwork installation; or equivalent combination of education (Technical School) and experience.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in diverse conditions, including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).

Physical Demands:

This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 pounds.
