This role is crucial for managing our AWS infrastructure and ensuring the security and efficiency of our CI/CD pipelines.

Note: This position requires on-site presence; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage collaboratively with all teams within the organization on a daily basis.
  • Oversee and enhance our AWS infrastructure, focusing on services such as EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
  • Develop and uphold infrastructure as code using AWS CDK in TypeScript.
  • Design, implement, and manage Amazon EKS clusters to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Refine and implement CI/CD pipelines for both containerized and non-containerized applications.
  • Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems across our AWS infrastructure.
  • Enforce security best practices throughout our AWS environment.
  • Contribute to and maintain codebases primarily in TypeScript, Python, and Go.
  • Automate workflows to enhance developer productivity and system reliability.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support system reliability.
  • Work alongside software engineers to improve product operability and maintainability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be available to work from the office every weekday.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in DevOps or cloud engineering, with:
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and architectures.
    • Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS.
    • Proficiency in TypeScript.
    • Experience with AWS CDK or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture, components, and API.
  • Strong Linux system administration skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret and/or TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with EKS in production settings.
  • Advanced skills in TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in Python and Go.
  • Experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, Systems Manager, and CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with enterprise Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu).
  • Knowledge of advanced monitoring and observability tools for AWS.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
