Role Overview The Food Service Operations Manager is accountable for the comprehensive food service operations within the facility, aiming to deliver outstanding service to residents, staff, and visitors.

As an integral member of the management team, the Food Service Operations Manager endorses practices that enhance clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, staff performance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Nursing Home Administrator.
  • Oversees the Food and Nutrition team, including recruitment, orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Maintains the Food and Nutrition personnel schedule to ensure sufficient staffing levels.
  • Ensures adherence to menus, recipes, and dietary systems to prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments according to prescribed diets and resident requests.
  • Supervises the timely and precise preparation and service of meals across various dining settings.
  • Plans and coordinates special events, celebrations, and promotional activities.
  • Manages the Food and Nutrition department within budgetary constraints.
  • Conducts quality improvement initiatives, including audits and feedback sessions with residents and staff to identify areas for enhanced service delivery and dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Nutrition preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in commercial or volume food service management is essential.
  • Must possess Serve Safe and other certifications as mandated by regulatory bodies.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Target: $30 - $33 / hr
