Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing research participants' current psychosocial needs, identifying case management needs, and coordinating transportation for discharge, appointments, and other miscellaneous needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess research participants' current psychosocial needs and identify case management needs
  • Assist clients with discharge planning as needed
  • Set key goals to be accomplished with research participants during their inpatient stay
  • Complete Discharge Summaries for client discharging from the CRU
  • Ensure all information, medications, follow-up appointments are accurate
  • Coordinate transportation for discharge, appointments, and other miscellaneous needs
  • Develop relationships with representatives in other agencies to support research participants in attaining services
  • Develop and manage weekly groups with inpatient clients focusing on psychosocial needs
  • Update database upon discharge from CRU and/or study termination
Requirements
  • 6+ months of experience in a clinical research setting
  • Minimum High School graduate or GED
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team/consensus building skills
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict and cope with crisis
  • Ability to maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with clients and staff
  • Ability to multitask, have meticulous attention for detail, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
