Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Marion County. As a licensed therapist, you will provide individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and transition-age youth in the Salem and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy to clients with complex needs and diagnoses
  • Conduct mental health assessments, including screening for alcohol and drug issues
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including case management and coordination of care
  • Provide consultation, training, and orientation to team members, student interns, and other professionals
  • Assist clients and families with accessing community supports and resources
Requirements
  • State of Oregon licensure, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, or a behavioral science field
  • One year of postgraduate degree experience in the behavioral health field
  • Fluent bilingual Spanish/English skills, with an additional 5% added to the hourly wage as compensation

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, eligible for overtime. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., with one late clinic 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., with flexibility depending upon the needs of the department and program.

  • Working knowledge of community mental health concepts, chemical dependency case management, and treatment services
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with other employees, individuals, and their families, other agencies, and the public
  • Knowledge of and ability to act professionally regarding a code of ethics and confidentiality
