Automation Controls Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to join our team at Dennis Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our food processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and troubleshoot control systems utilizing PLCs for integration of manufacturing systems.
- Automate manufacturing processes through the use of instrumentation or controls systems.
- Develop new PLC applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
- Design, specify, wire, and procure control panel equipment, e.g. safety circuits, I/O, networks, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and make recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations.
About You:
- You have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, with experience in automation controls.
- You are proficient in programming languages such as Visual Basic, SQL, and MS ACCESS Database.
- You have experience with design and implementation of process network infrastructure (Ethernet, Device Net, Control Net, ProfiBus etc).
- You are proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
- You are able to travel up to 50% of the time to visit project sites and other offices.
