Job Title: Senior CAD Technician

BGE, Inc. is a leading engineering consulting firm providing services in civil engineering, planning, construction phase administration, and environmental services for public and private clients. Our Atlanta division is expanding due to project wins and has an immediate need for a Senior CAD Technician.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and CAD manual drafting techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform top-level Civil design and drafting tasks
  • Conduct complex CADD tasks, including visualization and portrayal of design features
  • Determine drawing sequence and presentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers to recommend minor design changes and perform simple design calculations
  • Review work performed by CAD Technicians I and II before submitting to Project Engineer
  • Guide or assist other technicians as needed
  • Prepare cost and quantity estimates
Requirements
  • Prior professional computer drafting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and CAD manual drafting techniques
  • Knowledge of construction plan preparation for land and/or site development projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
