Clinical Academic Placement Coordinator RN F/T Day

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Clinical Academic Placement Coordinator RN F/T Day to partner with local colleges and universities to foster successful clinical placements of students. The ideal candidate will maintain relationships with HMH leaders and clinicians, as well as assigned schools, to assist in scheduling student practicums and support the clinical component of education programs.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate and maintain relationships with clinical departments to support student clinical placements.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage clinical placement assignments across the HMH network.
- Assist students with identifying potential clinical placements and policies/procedures to secure them.
- Maintain positive relationships to plan for and schedule student group clinical or individual preceptor rotations.
- Identify potential student learning experiences in new and existing areas at HMH.
- Assist the university to facilitate affiliation agreements, if needed.
- Create relationships with students and faculty to encourage placements within Hackensack Meridian Health.
- Help prepare documentation (i.e., student/faculty profiles) needed for accurate placement.
- Ensure all required HMH documentation, background checks, and health records for students have been submitted.
- Ensure comprehensive HMH orientation and onboarding for students and the selected clinical placement.
- Communicate with clinical leaders timely on clinical placements and clinical orientation schedules for each student group each semester.
- Communicate with leaders regarding changes in university schedule impacting placements.
- Share information that impacts clinical education experience.
- Attend professional meetings, and other meetings when they occur as appropriate.
- Participate in campus activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings representing Hackensack Meridian Health.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
