Job Title: Fluid Recovery Technician

Fenix Parts Inc is a leading recycler and reseller of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) automotive products. With over 25 years of experience and 27 locations throughout the U.S., our primary business is auto recycling, which involves the recovery and resale of OEM parts, components, and systems reclaimed from damaged, totaled, or low-value vehicles.

Job Summary:

Our Fluid Recovery Technicians are responsible for safely draining fluids and recovering valuable and/or reusable components from scrap autos. This includes ensuring that automobiles are safe for customer access, removing all fluids, lubricants, and valuable components, and preparing the vehicle for placement in the salvage yard.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely drain fluids and recover valuable components from scrap autos
  • Ensure automobiles are safe for customer access
  • Remove all fluids, lubricants, and valuable components as required
  • Prepare automobile for placement in the salvage yard
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area
  • Complete paperwork as required
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate mechanical abilities
  • Ability to use basic tools
  • Ability to stand for long periods, except when operating machinery
  • Ability to sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb, and move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Ability to tolerate high and low temperature levels associated with outdoor working conditions
