Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive quality care while providing a caring and compassionate attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
  • Administer medications and document all medication administration in the patient's chart.
  • Keep patient rooms clean and tidy.
  • Help patients with mobility, including using walkers or wheelchairs, and positioning them in beds or chairs.
  • Record all care provided to patients accurately and timely.
  • Report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Respond to patient calls in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a current CNA certification.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be compassionate and patient with all types of patients.
