In this role, you will deliver comprehensive clinical care to pharmacy patients, support the pharmacy manager in operational duties, oversee pharmacy support staff, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
Your primary duties will include:
- Conducting thorough patient evaluations related to prescribed therapies, gathering and analyzing relevant data to optimize medication therapy.
- Assessing the clinical significance of symptoms and making informed recommendations for adjustments in drug therapy.
- Identifying and addressing adverse reactions and complications linked to medication use.
- Monitoring patient records for potential drug interactions and allergies.
- Providing expert counseling and addressing inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.
You will also be responsible for:
- Delivering prescription drug therapy to patients, ensuring precise labeling and timely dispensing of medications.
- Identifying and resolving medication-related issues in the best interest of the patient.
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, as well as Fairview Pharmacy Services policies.
- Managing error resolution processes effectively.
- Ensuring accurate billing practices for all payers.
- Utilizing technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency in dispensing.
In addition, you will assist the site manager with:
- Providing guidance to pharmacy support staff, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion of assignments.
- Overseeing pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacy manager.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge in pharmacy practice through literature review, seminars, and conferences.
Required:
- B.S. Degree or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Current Minnesota Pharmacy License.
- One to three years of experience as a practicing pharmacist in a community setting.
