Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Fairview Health Services. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive pharmacy services in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with care providers and pharmacists to ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing, in accordance with legal requirements and policies.
- Process prescriptions and orders from electronic medical records, prepare drug therapy, and dispense medication accurately.
- Maintain IV hoods, clean rooms, and ante rooms according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate ordering, delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas.
- Participate in regulatory, quality assurance, and process improvement activities.
- Support the training of new trainees.
Qualifications
- At least 3 months of pharmacy technician experience.
- Eligible to become registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy and certified with the PTCB.
- Nationally certified or become certified within 12 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy technician training program.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a pharmacy.
