  • Demonstrate knowledge of safe use of medical equipment, including canes, crutches, walkers, Hoyer lifts, and side rails.
  • Help maintain residents' rooms, ensuring they are clean and supplied with essential items.
  • Make and change beds, promoting a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Transport residents, supplies, and equipment as needed, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance, promoting mobility and independence.
  • Perform skin assessments, notifying the RN of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
  • Answer resident calls, taking appropriate action to address their needs.
  • Collect and label specimens (urine, stool, sputum), maintaining accurate records.
  • Immediately report any changes in residents' condition or incidents to the Nursing Supervisor.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all clients, healthcare staff, and documentation.
  • Maintain annual in-service requirements, adhering to facility and state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • CNA certification in the state of Florida.
  • CPR certification.
