Position Overview

The HVAC Technician II plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operation of a premier educational institution. This position is primarily responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of Sinclair's mechanical systems, with a focus on HVAC repairs and modifications. The technician will conduct inspections, oversee monitoring, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

The technician will be responsible for maintenance and repairs of all HVAC systems on site, including:

  • Air Handling Units
  • Steam and Hot Water Boiler Systems
  • Chilled Water Systems
  • A/C Package Units
  • Refrigeration Units and Walk-in Coolers
  • Kitchen Equipment
  • Auxiliary electrical systems related to HVAC and DDC controls

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in HVAC maintenance or commercial/industrial construction
  • CFC Universal Certification License is preferred (must obtain within the first 6 months of employment)
  • Experience and knowledge in refrigeration systems, including troubleshooting and repairs
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, work on ladders and scaffolds, and navigate tight spaces
  • Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Completion of a pre-employment physical and background check is required
