Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections, developing maintenance plans, and performing repairs on heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment to detect and diagnose issues with engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure heavy equipment is running at optimal levels.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of malfunctioning parts, including engines and transmissions.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and perform regular stock checks.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a field mechanic.
  • Completion of a mechanic apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to work in all types of weather conditions and be available for overtime work as needed.
  • Must have own basic tools to conduct Field Technician work.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with drug and alcohol policies during employment.
  • Class B with Airbrake endorsement.
