Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cash Receipts Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling cash receipts, ensuring accurate and timely application of payments to patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and record cash receipts, including accounts receivable checks and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and investigate any discrepancies or out-of-balance issues.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash accounts, ensuring all payments are accurately applied to patient accounts.
  • Document all activity related to payor recoups or take backs.
  • Prepare and post payroll deductions, as well as process refunds for private patients and non-hospital money.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cash receipts and transactions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: C-Heartsaver certification.
