Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Equipment Maintenance: Execute intricate diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on dairy and cheese production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Expert Skill Performance: Demonstrate proficiency in essential maintenance functions, including Electricity, Electronics/PLC, Plumbing, Mechanical, Machine Shop, Millwright, Welding, Boilers, Refrigeration, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics.
  • Utility Maintenance: Exhibit competencies in Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Building, and Plumbing functions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and replacements of motors, switches, and other components to maintain reliable operation of production machinery.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo software effectively.
  • Safety Commitment: Uphold a safe working environment that prioritizes employee health and well-being.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's degree from a recognized two-year college or technical school is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Significant experience with thermoforming processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a food or beverage manufacturing setting is highly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Ability to interpret and apply complex technical instructions effectively.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and exhibit strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly.

Maintenance Competencies:

  • Programming Variable Frequency Drives, chart recorders, temperature controllers, and flow meters.
  • Fabrication skills including welding, milling, lathes, modifying parts, and system design.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills for PLC logic panels, relay logic panels, motors, level sensors, flowmeters, and PID Loop calibration.
  • Hydraulic system adjustments and component repairs.
  • Plumbing skills for replacing piping systems.
