Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As an integral part of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures with a high level of technical expertise and independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures, utilizing advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ultrasound technology and its applications in various medical specialties.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound imaging and technology.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.
  • Registered ARRT or ARDMS certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience in ultrasound imaging, with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
