Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager for Renewable Energy Initiatives will operate within the Clean Energy and Innovation Unit of DCAS, closely collaborating with various units to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of multiple solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage projects. Engage with vendors to facilitate site access, manage operational assessments, and ensure project success through meticulous planning and regulatory compliance. Conduct regular project status updates and site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  2. Asset Management: Ensure optimal performance of the City’s solar energy systems throughout their operational lifespan. Collect and analyze performance data to identify discrepancies and initiate necessary maintenance actions.
  3. Operations and Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with agency personnel to provide training and develop maintenance contracts for City-owned renewable energy projects.
  4. Data Analysis: Perform comprehensive analyses at both project and program levels to verify performance metrics and ensure that energy generation and emissions reduction targets are met. Utilize industry-standard software for solar PV modeling to manage internal metrics and performance estimates.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in construction or project management, with at least 18 months in a supervisory role. Educational qualifications in engineering or a related field may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

  • Experience in field monitoring and project performance tracking.
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows effectively.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
