Role Objective:
The Community Engagement Advocate will be recruited from within the designated community area identified as the Population of Focus (POF). This role involves outreach and engagement initiatives to ensure that the POF is informed about available mental health services and actively collaborates in the design, execution, and assessment of crisis intervention strategies. The position emphasizes the continuity of program services delivered in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a secure and therapeutic setting, adhering to applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Selected positions must be eligible to pursue the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential based on their lived experiences.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education
- Eligibility for CRSS credential based on lived experience for select positions
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance criteria
- Must possess personal transportation and a valid driver's license
- Commitment to serve as a recovery role model
- Alignment with the mission and vision of Rosecrance
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members to deliver mobile crisis response services in the community as needed.
Facilitate the engagement of individuals reluctant to connect with behavioral health professionals or first responders through trust-building and resource provision.
Actively contribute as a partner in the design, implementation, and evaluation of crisis solutions.
Advocate for individuals with professionalism and a collaborative, non-confrontational approach.
Provide appropriate behavioral interventions and advocacy for individuals facing mental health challenges.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of community resources and the full spectrum of services provided by Rosecrance.
Offer clients tailored resources, including referrals to additional treatment options when necessary.
Conduct thorough follow-up communications with clients and/or their families, providing further referrals as required.
Ensure timely completion of all required documentation within designated timeframes.
Engage in training sessions aimed at obtaining the CRSS credential.
Participate in statewide events, summits, trainings, and activities that support the education and development of consumer provider services.
Attend all scheduled staff meetings, team meetings, or relevant committee meetings as designated.
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am
