Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and address mental health challenges.
• Develop personalized treatment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Conduct regular sessions with clients to provide guidance, therapy, and modify treatment plans as required.
• Perform continuous evaluations of client progress.
The role of a Mental Health Counselor encompasses diagnosing and managing patient care, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, and making referrals to specialists when necessary.
Ultimately, you will engage directly with clients to support them in managing various mental health issues, guiding them towards a healthier lifestyle.
• Valid state certification as a Certified Marriage and Family Counselor (CMFC)
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
• Specialized training or experience in addiction therapy
• Familiarity with evidence-based methodologies for substance use and co-occurring disorders
• Strong therapeutic and counseling abilities with a focus on client motivation
